Barbara MillerShirley Matson and ShadowChase’s own Barbara Miller were featured in the April issue of Running Times magazines because of their seemingly never-ending running abilities.

Miller was named the magazine’s top 65-69-yearold women’s runner for 2005 while Matson was second in the 60-64-year-old women’s category.

Miller was honored for her performances last year in the Susan B. Anthony 5K, Shriners 8K Run, Marin Memorial Day 10K, Emerald Nuts Across the Bay 12K, John Frank Memorial 10- mile, and Houston Marathon.

In the full-length feature, titled "rocking oldies," the magazine profiled the two masters runners.

The magazine says if runners were rockstars, then Matson and Miller would be Mick Jagger and Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones

While the two runners may share the rockers’ boundless energy, they never have shared the musicians’ sometimes wild and unhealthy lifestyles.

In the article, Matson probably summed up best what keeps the two seemingly ageless runners going: "Running is my best friend."
