Pacific Association/USATF Announcement
from Cynci Calvin, Chips PA/USATF Liaison
NOW is the time... before November 1... to join or renew your membership with the Pacific Association/USATF!
WHY NOW?
Because on November 1, dues are going up! from $20 to $29.95! But if you join NOW for 2007 you can still get the $20 rate. You can even sign up for multiple years at the $20 rate.
WHY JOIN PA/USATF?
1) Support the organization that: makes the rules, keeps the playing fields level, promotes elite athlete development, sets standards for quality competitions, provides regional and national individual and team competitions, and has the only youth program - Junior Olympics - that can qualify our kids to compete in regional, national and international competitions. In many cases, for inner city youth, the USATF Junior Olympic programs are the only way these youths can learn about track and field, distance running and race walking activities!
2) Enjoy the fun and camaraderie and rewards of competing as a Chip in our Pacific Association Grand Prix events. You need do nothing more than sign up with the Pacific Association. Once that is done, you will be included on the Chip teams throughout the year. YOU NEED NOT Be A SPEEDSTER! All levels and ages are needed to help us fill out teams at these excellent events (ultra, road racing, and cross country).
3) You will also be able to earn a special Chip clothing item if you compete in a specified number of Grand Prix events as a PA Registered Chip (details on the Chip Team Incentive Program are posted at buffalochips.com).
4) After you join you will receive in the mail with your membership card a packet full of coupons and discounts that will be well worth the $20 - or for procrastinators, well worth the $29.95!
