28th Annual Jed Smith Ultra Classic

The Jed Smith 30K-50K-50 Mile Ultra Classic is only about two weeks away! Taking place on Saturday, February 4th, Jed Smith is the ideal race for seasoned ultra runners and first-timers alike. This is the first race in the 2006 Pacific Association USA Track & Field (PAUSATF) Ultra Grand Prix. The course is 50% groomed dirt trails and 50% paved road through scenic Gibson Ranch in Sacramento County. It is USATF-certified, and runners participating in the 50K may earn individual and club PAUSATF ultra points (see www.pausatf.org for details.) With a 3.31 mile loop, runners have no need for a crew or to carry any items. There are two fully-stocked aid stations on the course, and it's easy for runners to leave their own drop bag out on the course for quick access to whatever is needed during the race. ChampionChipTM timing by Capital Road Race Management is used for accuracy and quick results, and prizes will be awarded to the top 20% of finishers in each 10 year age group. All participants will receive a dri-release shirt, and showers are available (bring your own towel!)
